Pong with PIC

Viola and Henrik assembled and soldered a classical pong TV game from Velleman MK121NTSC kit. I found this kit from the Rado Shack while visiting USA on a business trip.

The game is implemented on board with a PIC microcontroller. In addition to NTSC video signal it creates an audio signal. Modern TV sets seem to accept also American NTSC video signal even though they are made for European PAL video signal.

The classic pong type of video game  sure reminds me of my childhood. It was the only video game that we had in the 70’s. It’s of course no Playstation….
